WE WON THE PETFINDER SHELTER CHALLENGE FOR THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND!!!!!!!
We are the #1 shelter in RI, and won $1000!
Thank you to everyone who voted for us!
Are you a rescue or no kill animal shelter and want to help these dogs?
If so all the information you need is below:
The dogs on our website are posted for the shelters we work with in efforts to get them recognized and into a safe situation whether it be into Help Save One's rescue, a foster home, or an adoptive home.
Help Save One has what is called an Urgent Dog Fund and we raise money each week to cover pulling, vetting, transport, and medical boarding. We obviously can not take in every dog we post into our own rescue but we want to build a wide network so we have other rescues who are willing to help in the effort.
On our website if a dog is marked "Sponsored for Rescue" that means the costs of the initial vetting, transport, & health certificate will be covered by our urgent dog fund. All you need to do is take the dog in and love them. Sometimes we have partial sponsorship and sometimes a dog simply does not get sponsored. If that is the case and you still want to help rescue the dog you will need to subsidize the remaining cost.
Very important, we medical board puppies for 10 days after vaccinations and before they are transported to help reduce the risk of disease or viral infections. Many times a rescue will need to help cover the medical boarding costs if you want to pull.
We thought we would reach out to other rescues and offer our sponsorship program as a way to foster relationships with other rescues while at the same time expanding the amount of dogs we can save.
If you want a dog but do not have a foster you are more than welcome to use one of our approved fosters.
On the flip side, if you have a dog your rescue has that you want posted please email photo and write up to adoptions@helpsaveone.org and we are happy to do a courtesy posting for you.

Why a Rescue Network?
By creating a solid rescue network we at Help Save One believe that with the power of the internet, coupled with the power of forming relationships with people we can literally move mountains. Help Save One's website is nearing a quarter of a million hits and we just launched it less than a year ago. Imagine if we had a strong network of rescues - we could be reaching a million or more people.
