URGENT!!!
Wow, we really need some help! We are trying to pull and transport this beautiful mommy and her pups from a high kill shelter. Mom is trying so hard to keep those babies safe but the shelter is loud, chaotic, and unfortunately sickness does run rampant. No new mom wants to lay on the shelter floor. She should be in a home where it is safe, clean, and warm.
We really need help with their pull fees, transport costs, and vetting. Pulling a mom and pups is like pulling 7 adult dogs in terms of cost. This week alone we did $3500 worth of work to 30 puppy mill chihuahuas and we rescued 2 seniors, 6 puppies, and 2 small heart worm positive chihuahuas. None of which were sponsored because we were so busy with the rescue we did not have time to ask anyone to sponsor.
We over extended ourselves and need help. Even if you could donate $5 every dollar helps. We have used all our personal money this week and it's been very tough. Please help if you can.

Sweet Marilyn - Female Pug/Boston Terrier Mix - URGENT & ON EUTHANASIA LIST!
This kid is only a year old! Marilyn is a Boston/Pug mix and she is in a high kill shelter that intakes 20,000 animals per year. She has cherry eye and is overweight so her chances of being adopted from the shelter are slim and she has landed on the euthanasia list.

Chihuahua Puppy Mill Rescue - URGENT HELP NEEDED!
Help Save One agreed to take in 30 Chihuahua's from a Missouri puppy mill rescue and we had to give a YES or NO answer before even having a chance to raise funds. We spent approx. $3000 getting these dogs vetted, dentals, altered, and transport costs. We are asking anyone who can sponsor a puppy mill Chihuahua to do so and if you sponsor one in full ($150) you can name them!

Charlie - Male Hound - ON EUTHANASIA LIST - URGENT!
Charlie Boy is a senior hound who is on "THE LIST". This poor boy was most likely dumped by his hunter dad because he was getting old and need to stop for a rest. Charlie Boy is about 50 lbs and around 7 years old. He is VERY friendly and will jump into a back of any truck with the tailgate down. He is ready to ride and be loved. PLEASE save Charlie Boy... He is at a shelter that gasses or uses heart sticking* to euthanize the dogs. Both very painful ways to die.
We are totally full so we need an adopter or long term foster ( truly long term-must be will to stay with it through thick and thin with this 'young' man). Sponsorship also welcome-see below.
*Intracardial injections, commonly know as heart sticks, is a rather inhumane way to euthanize an animal that is not comatose(or nearly comatose) or heavily sedated. A needle and syringe containing sodium phenobarbital is passed through the chest wall and severely layers of muscle into the heart. However on an animal that isn't sedated or comatose this is hard to do because the body is in constant motion. It's not uncommon for the person administering the injection to miss and accidentally punctures the lungs and causes them to fill up with fluid. This is a VERY painful way to die.
In a shelter there is no reason for this to be done on an otherwise healthy dog. In a clinic however, it is often needed for dogs that need to be euthanized but have circulatory problems.
